My family live on this island and our stories are within this water. The sacred design of the Rirratjingu, my mother's clan, contains the songs of our ancestors. The round forms are Yathiny. They are small jellyfish-like creatures that float along this current.

The unfinished is alive and it invites us to range within it, offering the opportunity to ease it towards meaning or completeness.

Her future husband weighs fruit with fateful resolve, feet evenly placed in two countries while Nonna tells stories.

My practice draws upon past artistic traditions, including the work of Francis Bacon, Leon Kossoff and Lucien Freud.
