The story of Sadb originates from Irish mythology. This tale speaks of a gentle woman who must, because of an evil enchantment, live much of her life as a deer. My current work explores the transformative nature of beings like Sadb who exist as half-women, half-beast on a full time or part time basis. It also questions whether there is a hidden agenda or purpose to their guide, and if the notion of a half-life exists outside the realm of myth in a contemporary context.
